Obedience Training
At Posh Paws We Offer Training Classes for Pets of all Ages and Sizes A well behaved, obedience trained dog is a pleasure to own because he can go virtually anywhere without being a risk or nuisance to others. And don't we all want a dog who exhibits appropriate behavior in a crowd, good manners when we have guests in our home, is reliable around children, and who doesn't threaten other dogs or passers-by? Training classes will help you develop a bond with your dog and make your dog a better k-9 citizen! Class Outlines Small Dog Play Group Is designed to accommodate the very small toy dogs. Dogs must be 7 lbs or under. This class provides a safe, non threatening environment where small dogs can enjoy interactive playtime. Fridays 6:00-6:30 6 weeks $59.99 Large Dog Play Group Your large dog will be divided into small play groups with his/her best buddies to enjoy off lead playtime before traing classes start. Excellent way to burn off excess energy! Fridays 6:30-7:00 6 weeks $59.99
Puppy Socialization For puppies from 12-18 weeks old. Socialization & early obedience skills are taught. Leash work, coming when called, sit, down, housebreaking, jumping, mouthing, and other common behaviour problems covered. Fridays 7:00-7:45 pm 6 weeks $99.00
Basic Obedience This class is the next step following puppy classes and is for puppies and dogs at least 18 weeks of age. No previous training is necessary. Heeling on a loose lead, come when called, sit, down & stand commands are taught. Individual problems are addressed. You will also learn useful day to day skills & how to avoid common training mistakes Fridays 7:45-8:30pm 8 weeks $119.00
Advanced Obedience For the more serious student, advanced obedience fine tunes basic obedience and progresses to off-lead work 8:30- 9:15 8 weeks $119.00 Contact Posh Paws for information
Conformation We offer drop-in conformation and show-ha ndling classes. Classes are geared towards owner-handlers, Junior Handlers, and those who want to learn how to show dogs, for the first time! The six week course will cover basic ring procedure as well as how to stack and move your dog correctly…...everything you need to know to succeed in the breed ring! 6 weeks $99.00 Drop in classes $10.00 (for experienced handlers)
Guidelines for registration:
Puppies must be 12 weeks of age Dogs must be current on all vaccinations including Parvo/Distemper Classes are on a first come first served basis and students must be pre paid and registered at Posh Paws before the first class. Dogs with aggression issues must be assessed by Posh Paws prior to registration* *Please call Posh Paws to arrange a one on one assessment.
